Me-Too & Antenna TV Plan Salutes To Ernest Borgnine

Local classic television program station Me-Too, as well as Chicago-based national classic television program network Antenna TV, are planning salutes to the late actor Ernest Borgnine in the coming days. Borgnine, whose acting career spanned over 6 decades, passed away yesterday in Los Angeles at age of 95 due to renal/kidney failure.

Weigel Broadcasting's Me-Too will air a "Tribute to Ernest Borgnine," tomorrow, July 10th from 7:00pm-11:00pm. The station will air a one hour episode of "Magnum P.I." at 7:00pm, which featured Borgnine in a major guest role. From 8:00pm-11:00pm, Me-Too will air six consecutive episodes of Borgnine's famed sitcom "McHale's Navy." For episode names and times, visit this link HERE.

Me-Too can be seen in the Chicagoland area over the air on WCIU-TV 26.4, or via cable on Comcast Xfininty 247/358, RCN 22 & WOW 171. (The station is currently off of AT&T Uverse until a conflict in fees can be resolved between the two sides.) "McHale's Navy" normally broadcasts on Me-Too every Sunday morning at 4:30am, while "Magnum P.I." is aired there on Sundays afternoons at 4:00pm.


Starting Sunday, July 15th, Tribune Broadcasting's Antenna TV will air its "21 Hour Salute to Ernest Borgnine: McHale's Navy Marathon." For almost an entire day, the network will air 42 episodes the classic 1962–1966 sitcom, in which Ernest Borgnine starred as Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale. The marathon will begin early Sunday morning at 6:00am and run through 3:00am the following morning. For episode names & times, visit Antenna TV's schedule page HERE.

"McHale's Navy" normally airs on Antenna TV weekdays at Noon, Fridays at Midnight, and Sundays at 9:00am. Locally, Antenna TV airs on WGN-TV's digital sub-channel 9.2.


UPDATE 7/10/12: The other Chicago-based classic television network, Me-TV will air the 1964 movie "McHale's Navy" as their own special tribute to Ernest Borgnine this Saturday at 4:00pm. Me-TV can be seen locally over-the-air on WCIU-TV's digital subchannel 26.3, as well as on most cable & satellite systems.
