Chicago's favorite weatherman, Tom Skilling, will be making a special appearance at the Museum of Broadcast Communications (MBC) tomorrow to discuss his storied career and meet with fans.

Tom Skilling has been working in the weather forecasting business for 46 years -- ever since he was just 14 years old. He has been with WGN-TV since 1978. Skilling is a beloved media icon in Chicago and continues to be one of the most well-respected meteorologists in the United States.

On Saturday, August 18th from Noon-1:00pm, Skilling, WGN-TV's Chief Meteorologist will sit down with the MBC's Founder, President and CEO Bruce DuMont to talk about his 34 year career in Chicago television. With DuMont as moderator, Tom Skilling will also participate in a question and answer session with the audience. This will take place on the stage located within the MBC's Radio Hall of Fame Gallery, located on the museum's second floor.

Following the discussion on stage, Tom Skilling will happily meet and greet attendees and sign autographs. He will also be available to autograph copies of the MBC's book "Chicago Television," which features Skilling along with other local TV legends.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications is located at 360 N. State Street in downtown Chicago. There is no additional charge to attend this salute to Tom Skilling other than the regular museum admission rates ($12 to general public and free to MBC members).
