JBTV Turns 25; Expands Format; Adds Ryan Manno As Host

Jerry Bryant is proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his terrific local modern rock showcase television show, JBTV. While 25 years of excellent broadcasting on Chicago TV is newsworthy enough, there is even more news concerning the award-winning JBTV. Chicago's longest-running independent television program dedicated to new, local and independent music and artists, will celebrate its 25th anniversary by launching an all-new, expanded program format, which includes a brand new host: Ryan Manno. JBTV will become a longer-format program that will feature even more personal artist interviews and exclusive live performances. The show will also showcase much of its archived material from the past 25 years of shows with Jerry Bryant -- much of it, never before shown on TV.

His passion for the show's subject matter shines through on each and every episode. JBTV has twice earned the Billboard Music Video Award for "Best Local/Regional Alternative Modern Rock Show," as well as many Emmy Awards for production.

Bryant is not leaving the show, but will focus on the segments that showcase his legendary footage from archives amassed over the past quarter century. Taking over the majority of hosting duties will be former Q101 personality, Ryan Manno. Manno brings will with him a decade of experience in modern rock, interviewing musicians & artists, involvement in the local music scene. A well-loved figure in Chicago rock music & radio, this is an inspired choice to host the program.

In another first for the show, JBTV will have its first ever General Manager, as Christian Picciolini, the music entrepreneur, has been named to that position. According to a statement from JBTV, Picciolini is formerly an IBM Marketing and Operations Specialist, as well as the founder of Sinister Muse Records and co-founder of Goldmill Group, which is an artist development and management company based in Chicago.

In addition to attracting some of modern rocks top acts to appear on the show, JBTV's studios offer state of the art video production capabilities for artists, bringing JBTV to the attention of artists from well beyond the Chicago market.

JBTV airs locally on Chicago Cable 25 on Wednesdays at 9:00pm, Thursdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at Midnight. It also airs Saturdays at 11:00pm on WEDE (Channel 34) and WJYS' HD station ((Channel 62-2). JBTV episodes and clips are available on iTunes, its own YouTube page and on its LiveStream page.
