There is no complicated contest rules to work through. Those interested in being part of this need only "listen to win." This could happen more than once each day, so stay tuned in.

Additionally, Mitch Michaels may get the opportunity to interview John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono this week to talk about the touring exhibition of Lennon's visual works.
UPDATE: Mitch Michaels will indeed be talking with Yoko Ono this week and the interview will air on Thursday's show.

Mitch Michaels is one of the biggest names in Chicago rock radio history, having worked in local radio since the very early 70's. In addition to WERV-FM, where he is heard each weekday afternoon, Michaels has worked at WGLD-FM, WXRT-FM, WDAI-FM, WKQX-FM, WLUP-FM, WBBM-FM, WCKG-FM, WLS-FM, WXCD-FM, WRXQ-FM, and the original Nine-FM. Mitch Michaels, despite being eternally in his 20's, has been rocking Chicagoland's airwaves for over 40 years.

"Yoko Ono presents: The Artwork of John Lennon" will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Oak Brook, located at 1909 Spring Road in suburban Oak Brook, IL on June 1st-3rd. The three-day exhibition has the full co-operation of Yoko Ono and the John Lennon Estate. It will display over 100 serigraphs, lithographs, and song lyrics (in serigraph form) by the former Beatle, and much more. The traveling show celebrating John Lennon features artwork and photos from between 1964-1980. Visitors will have an opportunity to peek into Lennon's mind and experience him through his drawings, sketches and written words from his early years as one of The Beatles, until his tragic death. While touring the exhibit, John Lennon's music will be playing in the background, to add to the experience.

Much of the artwork on display will be for sale, with prices ranging from a few thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Proceeds from this particular weekend's show will go benefit Gilda's Club Chicago. Admission is free, but $2 donations are encouraged.

John Lennon had put his drawings and artwork on display since long before his death, starting in the late 1960s. There were a few times in the early days when some of his drawings were seized by police officers and even burned, claiming the simple sketches and doodles by Lennon were "indecent." Ironically, one of the times this happened to Lennon's drawings was in 1970, at an infamous art show located in none other than... Oak Brook, IL.
