Polnet Communications Purchases TV Station Channel 24 from Nelson TV

Two Chicago radio companies have completed a sale of a Chicago area television station. Polnet Communications Ltd. has purchased of Class A Television Station, WPVN-CA -- Channel 24, licensed to Aurora, IL -- along with its digital companion WPVN-LD -- Channel 20 -- from Nelson TV, Inc. Bob Heymann, Director of the Chicago-based offices of Media Services Group, served as the exclusive broker, representing the seller in this transaction. The purchase price was $1,600,000.

Polnet Communications Ltd. owns radio stations WEEF, WNVR, WPJX and WKTA in the Chicago area. Nelson TV, Inc. through its affiliated companies, owns radio & TV stations WSQR-AM, WCSJ-AM, WSCJ-FM, WSPY-AM, WSPY-FM, WJDK-FM and WSPY-TV-30 & DT 18 in the Chicago area.
