87.7 Chicago's Smooth Jazz Signs With Metro Traffic

WLFM-LP, better known as 87.7 Chicago's Smooth Jazz, has signed on with Metro Traffic services. The Westwood One-owned Metro Traffic will now supply traffic and weather reports during WLFM's morning drive broadcasts between 5:00am-9:00am. The traffic/weather updates begun this week.

In addition to the on air traffic/weather reports, WLFM's website, 877ChicagoSmoothJazz.com has added a new web page that features the advanced online traffic map "Sigalert," which gives live traffic information from Metro Traffic with a click of a mouse.

Pat Kelley, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of WLFM-LP 87.7FM, happily announced the new partnership with Metro Traffic. In a statement today, Kelley said: "This is one more step forward for our team as we continue to evolve 87.7FM as a local lifestyle brand in Chicago. Accurate traffic and weather is a big deal in Chicago and I'm very excited that we can now make this important and timely information available to our growing band of listeners on air and on line!"
