Kapugi To Lead New Tribune Interactive Division

Tribune Interactive, a division of Chicago's Tribune Company, has formed a new division itself: the Tribune Interactive Representation Division. The division will now include TI's content team, market services, and customer rewards program, along with the "Syndicate" group that creates content for the Tribune-owned newspaper, television and radio websites. Jeff Kapugi, the Chicago native and former veteran radio executive, will head up this division and now have the title of Senior Vice President/Representation Division. He previously was the Tribune's Vice President of Content for the company's Chicago media properties since joining the company in 2008.

Jeff Kapugi said, "This is an efficient organizational structure for us. It enables us to more effectively communicate and educate our business units about TI's products and services."

In other Tribune Interactive news, Julie Anderson expands her role as Vice President of Content and Integration. She will be responsible for overseeing the digital content for Tribune Company-owned websites. Her new team will consist of Tim Dukes (the former WLUP executive) who will be the VP of Broadcasting Digital Content, Jim Richards who will be the VP of Content for The LA Times, and a VP of Content for the Tribune's east coast newspapers to be named later.
