With the recent resignations of Tribune Company's Chief Executive Officer Randy Michaels and Chief Innovations Officer Lee Abrams, as well as with the onslaught of negative Tribune publicity Randy Michaels has brought to the company and which was recently brought to the general public's attention, the Chicago Tribune is doing all it can to distance itself from the negativity.
In this weekend's Chicago Tribune, the following open letter is being printed, in an attempt to relieve some of the concerns faithful readers may have about the troubled company.

One has to wonder if the writer of this open letter was able to keep a straight face while describing the company's "integrity, honesty and professional decorum," something it has surely been lacking in many executive areas over the last three years.
As the negative press continues to be written and as a new regime takes over, look for plenty more of these type of letters to be published, as Tribune Company tries to distance itself from the mistake of having Randy Michaels as its CEO.
