CEO Kurt Hanson and COO John Gehron of the Chicago-based Internet radio network AccuRadio, have announced the launch of a brand new channel to their
ChicagoRadioOnline website. Today (Monday, October 25) "Chicago's Christmas Channel" will launch as part of the site, delivering Christmas music 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Beginning today, it will run throughout the 2010 holiday season.
"Chicago's Christmas Channel" will feature the voices from all of the other ChicagoRadioOnline.com personalities, including Danae Alexander, Scotty Brink, Doug Dahlgren, Tommy Edwards, Bill Garcia, Linda Marshall, Mitch Michaels, Connie Szerszen, Nancy Turner, Clark Weber, and Fred Winston.
As is true with all of AccuRadio's Internet music streams, the listener can select or de-select artists they do or don't wish to hear, as well as skip or pause tracks, making it a customizable listening experience.
The new holiday channel will be programmed and managed by veteran radio air-personality and programmer Tommy Edwards. It will feature well-known, traditional holiday recordings, plus some festive surprises from each of the other eight ChicagoRadioOnline channels.
Edwards was
hired by AccuRadio last month to oversee the programming of ChicagoRadioOnline.com.
Regarding the new Chicago-centric holiday channel, Tommy Edwards said in a statement: "It's music that's perfect for your retail store to please your customers, your office for your employees, and guests to enjoy in your home for tree-trimming or anytime during the entire Christmas season. I think everyone will love this music and enjoy hearing all the familiar Chicago radio air personalities. Plus, listeners don't have to put up with endless commercials either. It's our gift to our listeners - all their favorite holiday songs."
"Chicago's Christmas Channel" goes live today and can be found at
