WGN-AM's "Mr. Fix-It" Lou Manfredini will be hosting the "Ultimate Learn-It-Yourself Day" tomorrow from 6:00am-2:00pm in Addison. The live event will feature presentations and workshops about home improvement, green living, organization, lawn care, a Q&A sessions with Manfredini, and much more.
The day kicks off at 6:00am, as Lou Manfredini and producer Lindsey Kreutzer will be doing their Saturday morning WGN-AM radio show live from the event until 9:00am. The eight-hour "Ultimate Learn-It-Yourself Day" will take place at the Addison Trail High School field house, located at 213 N. Lombard Road in Addison. Admission and parking are free. WGN Radio will be handing out a free, reusable tote bag to the first 720 attendees who arrive (the number coinciding with their radio frequency, AM 720).
Children are welcome and there will be a "Kids Fun Zone" featuring inflatable games for them.
From 7:00am-3:00pm, Sims Recycling Solutions will be hosting a free drive-up electronics and appliance recycling drive in conjunction with the event in the Addison Trail High School parking lot. Most household appliances and electronics will be accepted. Click
