Chicago Radio Personalities To Guest In Production Of 'Steel Magnolias'

Five Chicago radio personalities' voices will be making special guest appearances in the current Saint Sebastian Players production of "Steel Magnolias" in the next couple of months. The guest DJ performances will take place between April 29th and May 22.

"Steel Magnolias" by Robert Harling, is the humorous fictional story of Truvy's, a local beauty salon in Chinquapin, LA, where six women of very different personality types and backgrounds share their inner secrets, fears and love for each other, while engaging in juicy gossip.

Throughout "Steel Magnolias," the characters are listening to a local Chiquapin radio station, KPPD. The voice of the DJ will be played by the following Chicago DJs on the following dates:

WFMT-FM's George Preston -- April 29, April 30, May 1
WLUW-FM's "Random Acts of Radio" host Cooper St. James -- May 6 and May 7
WCPT-AM/FM & WKIF-FM's Mike Sanders -- May 8 and May 15
WBBM-AM/Metro Traffic's Joe Collins -- May 13 and May 14
WXRT-FM's Lin Brehmer -- May 20, May 21 and May 22

The Saint Sebastian Players production of "Steel Magnolias" will run from April 29 through May 22, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. The performances will be held at St. Bonaventure, located at 1625 W. Diversey, at Marshfield - just west of Ashland, in Chicago.
