FM News 101.1 Launches

As exclusively mentioned HERE this morning, the new radio station format on WWWN-FM launched early this afternoon. The station is now known as FM News 101.1.

Due to technical glitches and anchors still trying to get comfortable with the new processes, initial reviews have been mixed at best. Station management decided to go with a "soft launch" and get the new format on the air, even though all of the operational pieces of the puzzle were not quite in place yet.

The station's website is still under construction, but when it is ready, it will be found at this link here: FMNewsChicago.com. The website is being created by Emmis Interactive and still has a long way to go before complete. While there is a streaming link in the upper left-hand corner of the new website, it is not yet active.

While the station's website is not ready just yet, they did launch a brand new Facebook page this afternoon, which can be found at this link HERE. A new Twitter account and YouTube page will be launching soon.
