Clear Channel Media + Entertainment Chicago (formerly Clear Channel Radio Chicago) has made a pair of promotions to its sales staff. Today, the company announced it had named a new General Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager.
Clear Channel Chicago has promoted Adam Kurtz to General Sales Manager for its Urban network of stations: WVAZ-FM, WGCI-FM and WGRB-AM. Since July 2010, Kurtz has been the Local Sales Manager for WKSC-FM and WLIT-FM. He has been with Clear Channel Chicago in a sales role since April 2001, starting out as an Account Executive for WLIT-FM.
In his new role as Urban GSM, Kurtz replaces Carla Ross, who had the position since June of last year.
Replacing Kurtz as the Local Sales Manager for WKSC-FM and WLIT-FM is Amy Stanek, who has only been with Clear Channel Radio Chicago since August 1st of last year. Before this new promotion to LSM, she had been serving as the Agency Sales Director for the entire Chicago cluster, where she was be overseeing station sales to local ad agencies. She has been in radio sales for 13 years, which included a stint working for WLUP-FM in Chicago, and jobs outside of the market. Before joining Clear Channel last August, Stanek had been an Account Manager at Paycor, a Chicago payroll services provider.
Both promotions are effective immediately.
