Thursday night's big divisional football game between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers will be shown on the NFL Network. While that national network is carried by pretty much every cable and satellite television provider, that still does not help those without cable or satellite, or those who have to pay an addition fee to get a broadcast package from their provider that carries the network. To make it easy for Chicagoans to watch the game between these two fierce rivals, Chicago's WPWR-TV/My50 Chicago has secured the rights to air the NFL Network broadcast on its station.
That's not all that will be seen on the station that night, either...
The NFL Network game broadcast, which begins at 7:00pm, will feature announcers Brad Nessler on the play-by-play and analyst Mike Mayock. Alex Flanagan will serve as the sideline reporter. That broadcast will be simulcast on WPWR-TV in the Chicago market.
The NFL Network will also have a lengthy two-hour pre-game show with Rich Eisen, Marshall Faulk, Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin, Steve Mariucci, and Stacey Dales. This pre-game show will only be shown on the NFL Network, though, not on WPWR-TV. In it's place, My50 Chicago will have its own, entirely-locally-focused pre-game show.

At 6:30pm Thursday night, WPWR-TV will have the "My50 Yard Line Pre-Game Show." The hosts of the show come from WPWR-TV's FOX-owned sister-station WFLD-TV/FOX Chicago: Lou Canells, Tom Waddle, and Dionne Miller.
Canells, Waddle, and Miller are normally the hosts for WFLD-TV's local Sunday morning NFL pre-game show "FOX Kickoff Sunday," as well as the hosts of the station's Sunday night sports wrap-up show, "The Final Word."
The "My50 Yard Line Pre-Game Show" will be coming live from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI, however, it will also feature some pre-recorded segments.
Planned segments include a feature with Julius Peppers, a cooking segment with Lou Canellis and Dionne Miller having kitchen fun with J'Marcus Webb, Tom Waddle breaking down the game with help from the Vernon Hills Cougars youth football team, and a special visit by Axhi -- one of the Brookfield Zoo grizzly bears, who will pick the winner of the game. Of course, with the main part of the show being live, Canellis & Waddle will have the latest news and developments for the upcoming game.
Immediately following the Bears/Packers game, WPWR-TV will broadcast the live "My50 Yard Line Post-Game Show" with Canells, Waddle, and Miller. The NFL Network will have not one, but
two of its own national post-game shows, which will only be seen on the NFL Network, not on WPWR-TV.
Thursday night's game will be the 185th meeting between Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers -- the most-played rivalry in NFL history.
