This morning, Sun-Times Media introduced a new digital magazine app by the Chicago Sun-Times, which covers the Windy City's favorite sports team, the Chicago Bears. The new semi-weekly digital magazine is called Bears Extra.
Bears Extra is being called by the Sun-Times as "the fan's complete source for news, information and fun facts about the Chicago Bears." New digital issues of the magazine will be released twice each week throughout the Chicago Bears' season (and hopeful post-season), on Mondays and on Thursday or Friday.
Each magazine will feature exclusive features and commentary from Chicago Sun-Times sportswriters Rick Telander, Rick Morrissey, Sean Jensen, Joe Cowley, and others. The issues will also have features such as statistical breakdowns of each player and game, in-depth analysis of the Bears and their opponents, NFL game previews, player interviews, video highlights, photos, quizzes, and more.
The digital magazine is especially formatted for the iPad and tablets, with artfully designed pages and an intuitive user interface.
Subscriptions and single issues of the Sun-Times' Bears Extra digital magazine/app are completely free. Bears Extra can be downloaded at the Apple Newsstand at this link HERE
