WGN-TV Newscasts Celebrate 'Bulls Day' On Tuesday

Today may appear on the calendar as just a regular Tuesday in late October, but at WGN-TV, today is "Bulls Day," at least on the newscasts. To celebrate the beginning of the Chicago Bulls 2012-2013 season, WGN-TV's Morning, Midday, 5:00pm and 9:00pm newscasts will all have special Bulls guests and Bulls-related features.

On the WGN Morning News, the following Bulls segments can be seen:
7:45am -- In-studio interview with Bulls legend Scottie Pippen.
8:15am -- In-studio interview with Bulls General Manager Gar Forman.
8:20am -- Benny the Bull visits the studio.
8:55am -- Stampede drum line performance.
Between 7:00am-9:00am -- Ana Belaval will have special segments spotlighting wheelchair basketball on her "Around Town" segments, shown throughout the show.
Between 7:00am-9:00am -- Two times during these two hours, viewers will have the opportunity to win four tickets to Wednesday night's Bulls season/home opening game.

The WGN Midday News will feature:
11:40am -- In-studio interview with Bulls.com writer Sam Smith.
12:40pm -- A visit with former Bulls great and current broadcaster Stacey King.
12:50pm -- "Lunchbreak" segment with a cooking assist from Stacey King.

The WGN News at 5 will have:
Between 5:00pm-6:00pm -- Live in-studio, Bulls legend and current Vice-President of Basketball Operations John Paxon.
Between 5:00pm-6:00pm -- WGN-TV's Marcus Leshock profiles Bulls Charities working with Lurie Children's Hospital.
Between 5:00pm-6:00pm -- Bulls player/coach top song playlists played throughout show.

The WGN News at 9 celebrates "Bulls Day" with:
9:45pm -- In-studio interview with Bulls Small Forward Luol Deng.

This is the second year in a row that WGN-TV has had a "Bulls Day" special event. Local sports station, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, had its own similar "Bulls Day" celebration last Wednesday.

The Chicago Bulls regular season kicks off Wednesday night. The broadcast will air on WGN-TV starting at 7:00pm. It will be preceded at 6:30pm with a live "Bulls Eye" pre-game show.
