Jeanne Sparrow, the host of WCIU's "You & Me This Morning," is taking a medical leave of absence for approximately one month. While Sparrow recuperates from her undisclosed problems, former WLIT-FM morning host, Melissa Forman will be filling in on the Weigel Broadcasting morning television show.
In tonight's statement about the change, Jeanne Sparrow said, "Melissa has deep roots in Chicago and will do a great job hosting 'You & Me This Morning' while I'm gone. I look forward to returning at the end of March and thank our fans for their warm wishes." Melissa Forman, the veteran of over 10 years on Chicago radio, commented, "I'm loving this new show. Jeanne is an incredible talent and great friend. It is an honor to be able to fill in for her." The short term medical leave for Jeanne Sparrow begins this Thursday the 25th. Melissa Forman will host the show for around 4-5 weeks until Sparrow can return. "You & Me This Morning," the TV morning show that offers a livelier take on local topics, news & weather, launched in October of 2009. It airs weekday mornings between 6:00an-9:00am on WCIU, The U.
