WGCI-FM will be holding an all-day toy drive for charity on the air tomorrow from 5:00am-6:00pm. The station's morning, midday, and afternoon hosts will all holding holding live remote broadcasts from locations around Chicago to help collect toys for needy children.
This is all being done to benefit
Clara's House, a local organization, formed in 1983, that is a haven for abused and homeless women and children in Chicago's Englewood and West Englewood communities. The toys collected will help brighten the holidays for many children who have not had many reasons to smile recently.
All of WGCI's daytime personalities will be at three local Villa retail locations Thursday. They are asking that fans come by, say hello, and drop off a new, unwrapped toy. Those that drop off toys will get a 20% coupon to redeem within any Villa store, which can be used to purchase the retailer's urban-inspired footwear & apparel.

WGCI's toy drive for Clara's House is part if Villa's national effort to collect toys for needy children, called Villa Gives. This week, Villa stores in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Detroit, and Camden are also doing similar toy drives with local Urban radio personalities.
