Blackhawks 1st Round Playoffs To Air On CSN

Comcast SportsNet Chicago, which has been the television home to the majority of the Chicago Blackhawks games this season, will be airing most of the first round of playoffs for the Chicago Blackhawks, as they make a strong attempt to get Lord Stanley's Cup back into their possession. The first game for the 'Hawks in the playoffs will be this Friday, April 16th.

CSN will have the exclusive rights to air games 1-4 and 6-7 (if necessary) of the Western Conference Playoffs between the Chicago Blackhawks and the division rival Nashville Predators. If there is a game 5, that will air nationally on NBC. All games will air in HD. The highly-regarded team of Pat Foley and Eddie Olczyk will provide the play-by-play and analysis for all first round games on CSN. The "Chevy Blackhawks Pre-Game Live" will air at 7:00pm on game nights, coming live from the United Center, and featuring Chris Boden and Steve Konroyd. The "Smirnoff Vodka Blackhawks Post Game Live" will feature live locker room interviews, along with head coach Joel Quenneville's post-game press conference.

CSNChicago.com will provide live streaming video of all of the Blackhawks post game press conferences, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes video from team practices and post game reports from CSN's Brett Ballantini. The website will also have additional Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage from CSNBayArea.com (San Jose Sharks), CSNWashington.com (Washington Capitals), CSNPhilly.com (Philadelphia Flyers) and CSNNE.com (Boston Bruins).

The first round schedule is as follows:

Game 1: Friday, April 16, 7:30pm – Blackhawks vs. Predators (United Center) - CSN

Game 2: Sunday, April 18, 7:30pm – Blackhawks vs. Predators (United Center) - CSN

Game 3: Tuesday, April 20, 8:00 pm – Blackhawks at Predators (Bridgestone Arena) - CSN

Game 4: Thuday, April 22, 7:30 pm – Blackhawks at Predators (Bridgestone Arena) - CSN

Game 5*: Saturday, April 24, 2:00 pm – Blackhawks vs. Predators ( United Center ) - NBC

Game 6*: Monday, April 26 (Time TBD) – Blackhawks at Predators (Bridgestone Area) - CSN

Game 7*: Wednesday, April 28 (Time TBD) – Blackhawks vs. Predators ( United Center ) - CSN

The Chicago Blackhawks playoff telecasts will disrupt a few of CSN baseball telecasts. The White Sox vs. Tampa Bay games on April 20th & April 22nd, which were originally scheduled on CSN at 7:00pm, will now move to CSN+/CLTV. If there is a game 6 or 7, the the Cubs vs. Washington game on April 26th and the White Sox at Texas game on the 28th, both of which were to air at 7:00pm on CSN, will then move to CSN+/CLTV.

On Tuesday, April 13 at 10:30pm, Comcast SportsNet will get viewers ready with a half-hour special, "SportsNite: Blackhawks Playoffs Preview." This special edition of SportsNite, hosted by Chris Boden and Steve Konroyd, will provide an overall Blackhawks-Predators preview with the very latest team reports and updates.
