| Chicago TV Stations Salute Dennis Hopper and Rue McClanahan |

In the last few days, Hollywood has lost actors Dennis Hopper and Rue McClanahan. Weigel Broadcasting's local TV stations will be saluting the late actors' work this weekend, with some special programming.
Academy Award nominated film actor, Dennis Hopper died at the age of 74 from complications of prostate cancer on May 29th. Me-Too will broadcast the 1969 classic movie "Easy Rider," which Hopper co-starred in and directed on Saturday night at 7:00pm. Me-Too can be seen over the air on Channel 48, with a digital tuner and antenna on WCIU-TV 26.3, and on Comcast 247, RCN 22, WOW 171 and AT&T U-verse 48. The newly revised schedule for Saturday for Me-Too can be found HERE. THIStv Network, which is a partnership between Chicago-based Weigel Broadcasting and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, is broadcasting "A Tribute to Dennis Hopper" this Saturday to celebrate the life and career of the long time silver screen actor. Beginning at 6:00pm, THIStv Network will showcase four of Hopper's movies: "Chattahoochee," "The Glory Stompers," "Blue Velvet," and "Blood Red." THIStv Network can be seen in Chicago on WCIU DT 26.4. The newly revised schedule for Saturday for THIStv can be found HERE. ![]() Rue McClanahan, who was most known as the character Vivian on the CBS TV sitcom "Maude" and as the character Rose on the NBC sitcom "Golden Girls," passed away yesterday after suffering a massive stroke at the age of 76. Me-TV will feature "A Tribute to Rue McClanahan" this Sunday from 4:00pm-7:00pm, showcasing her most memorable episodes from "Maude." (Me-TV does not currently have the rights to air Golden Girls episodes.)
