"Chicago Blackhawks: A Championship Journey" Starts This Weekend On Comcast SportsNet Chicago

Still feeling the effects of Blackhawks Fever? Chicago's Comcast SportsNet has the perfect medicine for you. Starting this coming Saturday, CSN will begin replaying in order, every Chicago Blackhawks post-season victorious games, all the way up to and including the full Stanley Cup Finals, as well as the parade & Rally coverage and other special programming. Get your DVRs and VCRs ready!

This five day event is being called "Chicago Blackhawks: A Championship Journey" and it kicks off at 7:00pm on Saturday July 10th and continues on through Wednesday, July 14th. (Complete & detailed schedule found below.)

"Chicago Blackhawks: A Championship Journey" will give fans the opportunity to relive the unbelievable excitement of Chicago's Stanley Cup championship run with complete game replays of every Blackhawk Stanley Cup Playoff victory in the Western Conference opening round vs. Nashville, Western Conference semifinals vs. Vancouver, Western Conference Finals vs. San Jose -- just the wins -- no need to see the few losses. After that, CSN will show all six games of the thrilling 2010 Stanley Cup Final against the Philadelphia Flyers. CSN will top off this fun event with a replay of its coverage of the Championship Parade & Rally. Additionally, following many of the Blackhawks Stanley Cup Playoff game replays, Comcast SportsNet will re-air the supplementary post game shows as it originally aired featuring post-game press conferences and player interviews. Just in case that isn't enough to quench your Blackhawks thirst, CSN has set up a special webpage on its website, which will include Blackhawks "Insider" Brett Ballantini's game recaps, video highlights and special "wrap-around" video footage.

James J. Corno, President of Comcast SportsNet Chicago issued a statement that said: "Thanks to the vision and drive of Rocky Wirtz and John McDonough, this Stanley Cup championship Blackhawks season has captivated the hearts and souls of hockey fans in this town like never before. We couldn't be happier than to relive this amazing championship run with our viewers beginning July 10."

"We are excited that our fans will be able to re-live the memories of the organization's run to the Stanley Cup thanks to the help of our great broadcast partner," Blackhawks Team President John McDonough said. "Replaying these historic games in the middle of July is the perfect warm-up for the Blackhawks Convention at the end of the month."

Note #1: Due to NHL restrictions, game replays will only be made available within Comcast SportsNet Chicago's regular NHL viewing territory.

Note #2: Rocky Wirtz, principle owner of the Chicago Blackhawks, is also a 20% owner in Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
