Patrick Pendergast has been named as General Manager of NextMedia's Joliet/Aurora cluster of radio stations. Floyd Evans, NextMedia Regional Vice President made the announcement this afternoon.
Patrick Pendergast is a radio veteran who was a Senior Account Manager with Arbitron, the Market Manager of Midwest Communications' Sheboygan, WI cluster of radio stations, and a General Sales Manager for the Journal Broadcast Group. He has held management and sales duties for various stations and radio companies in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas.
Floyd Evans said in his statement today: "After a long search, Patrick was the best candidate. He is a perfect fit for our Joliet/Aurora operation." Patrick Pendergast added, "I'm flattered and honored to join a great organization and looking forward to the opportunities ahead."
The NextMedia Joliet/Aurora cluster includes Hot AC WSSR-FM, Classic Hits WERV-FM, Country WCCQ-FM, Classic Rock WRXQ-FM and Talk WJOL-AM.
The General Manager position became vacant at the start of June, when the company
parted ways with Todd Elbrink.
