This weekend is the 52nd annual Chicago Air and Water Show, taking place on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am-4:00pm. It can be enjoyed all along the lakefront from Fullerton to Oak Street, with North Avenue Beach as its main point. The headliners this year include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy Parachute Team Leap Frogs, and the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights (who will have comedian/actor/Chicago native, Vince Vaughn jumping with them).
For those who do not wish to be outdoors all day both days, or simply cannot make it, there is another way to enjoy the show. Newsradio 780 - WBBM-AM will be streaming the entire two-day event live on their website. The live video stream can be found this weekend at this link HERE
Additionally, WBBM-AM will be broadcasting reports from the lakefront all afternoon long on both days. WBBM-AM also has a service where if you text "AIRSHOW" to 780780, the station will send you text updates about this weekend's show.
Exclusive photos and special video reports will be on the above linked webpage after this weekend.
According to the City of Chicago's official tourism site, the Chicago Air & Water Show is the "the largest free show of its kind in the United States," with over two million people watching the event each summer from the downtown lakefront.
