ABC's WLS-TV and Univision's WGBO-TV Again Partner To Present Three Political Debates

As they have been doing for the past few years, WLS-TV/ABC 7, WGBO-TV/Univision Chicago, and the League of Women Voters of Illinois will once again team up to present live political debates for elections of interest to the Chicago voting public. With the big 2016 election just over two weeks away (November 8th), three debates -- one for U.S. Senate and two for Congressional Districts -- will be shown on WLS-TV and WGBO-TV in the coming days.

The following are the details on the debates, including who will serve as moderators and panelists, and where/when these debates can be viewed. The debates will air commercial-free. After airing, all three debates will also be made available on-demand on WLS-TV's website and news app, as well as on UnivisionChicago.com.

Vote 2016: The 8th Congressional District Debate
Republican DuPage County Board Commissioner Peter DiCianni and Democrat businessman Raja Krishnamoorthi will take part in this 30-minute debate, which will take place within the ABC 7's State Street studios. The debate will be recorded on Saturday, October 22nd at 11:00am.

Moderators: ABC 7 news anchor Alan Krashesky and Univision Chicago news anchor Enrique Rodriguez.

Vote 2016: The 10th Congressional District Debate
Republican and current U.S. representative Robert Dold and Democrat and former U.S. Representative Brad Schneider will take part in this 30-minute debate, which will take place within the ABC 7's State Street studios. The debate will be recorded on Saturday, October 22nd at 1:00pm.

Moderators: ABC 7 news anchor Kathy Brock and Univision Chicago news anchor Enrique Rodriguez.

Republican and current Senator Mark Kirk and Democrat and current Representative Tammy Duckworth will take part in this 60-minute debate, which will take place within the ABC 7's State Street studios. The debate will be recorded on Friday, November 4th at 7:00pm.

Moderator: ABC 7 news anchor Kathy Brock.
Panelists: ABC 7 political reporter Charles Thomas and Univision Chicago news anchor Erika Maldonado.
