Chicago Carpenters Union's 'Built To Last' Series Returns To ABC 7

WLS-TV/ABC 7 will again be the television home for the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Labor Management Committee's television series "Built To Last." The fourth season of "Built To Last" will consist of 12 episodes that will explore the work done by union carpenters and contractors, including spotlighting recent projects they've worked on and the people whose lives have been helped by their projects.

"Built To Last" will be hosted by Monica Pedersen, Mark Nilsson and Rob North. The Chicago Carpenters Union's show is produced in association with the Chicago-based company AnswersMedia.

The debut episode of the new season of "Built To Last" will air on WLS-TV on Sunday at noon. Future 30-minute episodes will air each Sunday through the end of July.

Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters President Frank T. Libby stated: "'Built To Last Television' has helped showcase how industry professionals deftly collaborate to design, create, and execute on projects that matter to people within the communities where we live and work. It has been an educational vehicle for the building and business communities promoting economic infrastructure projects."

Sehban Zaidi, the producer/director of "Built To Last," added: "We feel like we have a responsibility to engage the audience and translate for them. Not just the range of amazing projects, but the positive impact a skilled union labor force has on people's day-to-day lives."

The three previous seasons of "Built To Last" were created for airing on WYIN-TV/Lakeshore Public Television, although some of the episodes from Season Three did air on WLS-TV. The Season Four episodes were created for ABC. In addition to airing on WLS-TV in Chicago, these 12 episodes will also be shown on KTNV-TV/ABC 13 in Las Vegas.
