Chicago's quadcast of progressive talk radio, WCPT, is bringing their drive-time/evening star to town for a live radio remote and more. Norman Goldman will be doing his syndicated talk show live and in-person from the Heartland Cafe in the Rogers Park neighborhood tomorrow, September 8th, from 5:00pm-8:00pm. After the show is over, Goldman will be be staying around at the Heartland Cafe for at least an hour to meet & mingle with the fans in attendance.
Norman Goldman, the conservative-yet-progressive radio talk show host, found himself at the right place at the right time at the start of this year. When the Air America liberal-leaning radio show syndicator disintegrated, many stations were scrambling for shows to replace the ones they lost. Quite a few of those stations, including several in large markets, picked up Norman Goldman's then fairly new show. Newsweb-owned WCPT
picked up Goldman's show at the end of January of this year.
Goldman, in a way of saying "thank you" to those affiliates that have signed up with his program, makes a point to do live remotes from the cities that air his show, meeting with station staffers, advertisers and fans.
The live remote is open to the public and free for all, although seating & space at the Heartland Cafe is very limited. The Heartland Cafe is located at 7000 N. Glenwood Ave. in Chicago.
