For over 30 years, Roy Leonard entertained Chicago radio and television audiences. The local media icon quietly passed away late last night in Evanston Hospital at the age of 83.

95.9 The River Rearranges Shifts - Reynolds To Middays, Michaels To Afternoons

WERV-FM/95.9 The River is doing some rearranging of shifts, beginning Monday, September 8th. Evening host Beth Reynolds will move down to the midday shift, while midday host Mitch Michaels moves back up to afternoon drive.

The 15th Annual Eric & Kathy Radiothon

On Friday morning, WTMX-FM's popular morning duo of Eric Ferguson and Kathy Hart will once again begin their annual radiothon for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Every year since 2000, 101.9 The Mix's top-rated morning show has been doing this marathon broadcast, drawing attention and raising funds for Chicago's top pediatric hospital.

Longtime ABC 7 Reporter Karen Meyer Announces Her Retirement

After 23 years with WLS-TV/ABC 7 as its reporter on disability issues, Karen Meyer is retiring at the end of this month. Her last day on the air for ABC 7 will be September 28th.

MeTV & MBC To Honor Rich Koz For His 35 Years As 'Svengoolie'

The MeTV Network and the Museum of Broadcast Communications -- both Chicago-based institutions -- will pay tribute to local media icon Rich Koz in October. Koz is being saluted for his recent 35th anniversary of portraying Svengoolie. He will have a special Svengoolie display set up within the Museum of Broadcast Communications (MBC) beginning in October, as well as a gala event planned in his honor for one special night.

Alexx Dupri Exits Soul 106.3, Joins New San Francisco Station With Former Chicago DJ Joey V

Chicago radio veteran Alexx Dupri has said goodbye to WSRB-FM/Soul 106.3. She exited at the end of last week because she has accepted a position as morning show co-host at a northern California radio station, teaming up with a former Chicago area radio personality.

WCPT-AM/FM To Go Live & Local For Mornings For Remainder Of This Week

WCGO-AM 1590 relaunched today with two brand new English-language local shows, two top syndicated programs, a new website, and even more planned. Comcast SportsNet Chicago Looks To Again Become Unofficial Chicago Bears Headquarters For 2014-15 Season

The 2014 NFL season, and more specifically, the 2014 Chicago Bears season, kicks off in less than two weeks. As they have done heavily for the last few years, Comcast SportsNet Chicago is going all-out in Chicago Bears coverage this season. Being added to CSN Chicago's schedule this fall and winter are live pre-game/post-game shows, halftime shows, preview shows, recap shows, new "Bears Classics" documentaries, and much more -- all covering Chicago's favorite sports franchise.

Patrick Mannelly Becomes Permanent Midday Co-Host On WSCR-AM

In July, WSCR-AM/670 The Score announced that the Chicago Bears' recently retired long snapper Patrick Mannelly had joined the station as a contributor. Today it is announced that Mannelly will take over as permanent co-host of the station's midday show, teaming up with Matt Spiegel.

Jason Goff Gets New Satellite Radio Show

Jason Goff, the former WSCR-AM/670 The Score longtime producer, reporter, writer, host, and all-around utility man is gaining a new national job next week. Goff will become afternoon co-host on a sports talk show on the brand new Bleacher Report Radio channel being created for SiriusXM satellite radio. The new channel and Goff's show will debut on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Chicago-Based 'StadiumsUSA' Show Goes Nationwide Via Yahoo Sports Radio

"StadiumsUSA Radio," a unique syndicated radio program focusing on America's sports venues, will kick-off its second season by going nationwide. The show, which is produced and distributed by Chicago-based Bill Hazen Productions, will make its debut on Yahoo Sports Radio this Saturday, August 30th at 7:00am.

WTTW-TV To Premiere A New 6-Part Travel Show: 'Islands Without Cars'
