Fred Winston, afternoon DJ on WLS-FM and one of the most famous radio personalities in Chicago history, was released by Cumulus Media late yesterday. Station staffers confirmed the shocking news early this morning.

Roger Ebert Passes Away

Beloved Chicago Sun-Times film critic and prolific blogger Roger Ebert passed away today at the age of 70. The Sun-Times is reporting that his death was due to complications from his latest battle with cancer. Ebert died while at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

Chicago radio legend Clark Weber will join the weekend WIND-AM/AM 560 The Answer program "Aging Info Radio" starting this weekend, delivering commentaries. The two-minute weekly segments, entitled "Look at Life with Clark Weber," will have the 82 year-old radio veteran delivering his inspirational perspectives on aging with style.

Potential New Sitcom With All Star Cast To Be Performed Live At The MBC

A new sitcom, which is still in the developmental stages, will have a pair of live readings done here in Chicago. The live readings will be filmed and used to solicit offers from networks and/or syndication companies. The sitcom, entitled "I've Got a Life in Kalamazoo," features an all-star cast of television talent, all of whom will be on hand for the local reading.
