The C.R.M. Message Board

Chicagoland's greatest and longest-running media-themed message board!

I realize I’m probably the only listener in Lake Co., IL that this station had (or one of the few). But it was a nice diversion to punch up driving to work and catch an album side if ‘XRT is playing that god-awful Cold War Kids song again or The Drive is spinning its daily dose of “Baby, I Love Your Way”.

But I was out of town for a good part of the first half of May, and I noticed The Hound is gone again when I got back. This has happened at least twice before since it debuted last year, but it came back on again each time, albeit on life support.

Does anybody out there know the status on it right now?

I'm starting to wonder if Univision has plans to buy that translator since they are selling 103.1. I mentioned before that The Hound was fed by WOJO HD-2, which happened to run a simulcast of WVIV/WVIX on and off. Same tower. Less power and expense. Would make sense, but I'm just thinking out loud.

WOJO-HD2 went back to Spanish language programming a couple weeks ago, I didn't stick around long enough to find out its exact programming.

WOJO HD-2 was a simulcast of WVIV/WVIX when I checked last night.

A lot of higher end cars have it standard I believe, so some people probably have them in the Northshore, Naperville, etc. Wherever BMW's are common for example.
