The C.R.M. Message Board

Chicagoland's greatest and longest-running media-themed message board!

It was hinted at back in February when Pete McMurray was on Windy City Live and a fulltime return was reported on this page shortly after that, but so far no news yet.
So,is this being held up by the sale of WGN or has it already been in the works?
Really hope that Bill and Wendy aren't let go to make room for him and they keep Justin Kaufmann in the 7-11 slot instead.Nothing personal against JK,but he still doesn't fit into WGN 2 years later and I miss the fun evening show that Pete had.

Right now, Pete McMurray cannot even coax WGN into giving him a fill in role.

Perhaps during this years Christmas holidays he will score, if the demand
    greatly excedes the supply.

If he was a part of their plans, it would have happened by now.

They wanted to make a change and John Williams was that change. They're not going to make any new full time hires until new owners take over. The other complicating factor for Pete is that Hubbard is one of the rumored suitors for WGN and he was just shown the door by WDRV.

My money's on B & W out by year's end. To me, i sense a lot of tension from them and the boss Cochran. Cochran wants Pete back in there too. Sad. BTW i've really enjoyed the Steve and Johnnie visits lately. They're still doing a show with good music, travelling, etc while their replacement babbles on about movies that no one goes to, and never leaves his apt. I'll NEVER figure out why that happened!
